- Dropping Classes & Incomplete Contracts
-
There is no shame in taking appropriate time to care for yourself without the additional pressures of a class or classes, and then returning once you are emotionally/spiritually/physically ready. There are two primary options for stepping away from your course(s):
- Dropping Classes
- If you need to remove yourself from a class after the Add/Drop deadline, your option is to withdraw. You have until the withdraw deadline to decide, which is the 10th week of a semester or 6th week of a term. A “W” grade will be put on your transcript. It is not a negative mark, but a neutral grade that does not affect your GPA. Withdrawing may affect your scholarship, financial aid, tuition, housing or employment if you withdraw below a certain number of credit hours.
- Incomplete Contracts
- If circumstances beyond your control impact your ability to complete this course, I am willing to discuss an incomplete contract with you. This means you take an “I” grade, and we agree upon the work you will compete and the date it will be completed (not to exceed one year). Incomplete contracts can now be initiated online through the link above.
